Friends, we are completely devastated. Our sweet Ryker went into cardiac arrest after his amputation surgery and passed away. There are no words to describe how heartbreaking this is. He had an amazing spirit, and when you looked into his eyes, you felt like you already knew him. Thank you to all who donated to his care. We're thankful we had the resources to help him, even though the outcome was not what any of us wanted. Ryker was much loved by all of us. ABR Alum Bubbles, now Emmylou, was adopted in July and couldn't be happier! This gorgeous girl was considered "not available for adoption" because of behavior in her cage at Animal Control, but she was nothing but love, kisses, and happy wiggles once we took her out of her kennel! She was adopted from the shelter as a puppy and brought in as a stray 3 years later with a mangled leg that had to be amputated. We're glad we went out on a limb for you, Emmylou! ...
