It was a hot, hot day but still loads of fun. We got some interest in some of our dogs, and we met many other fantastic rescue people.

We want to thank our volunteers for the day: Melanie and Theresa. Melanie adopted Ginger from us a while back and Theresa is Bowie's mom. We could not have done it without their assistance. Thanks gals for being such troupers with the heat!

An extra round of applause goes to Melanie for offering to foster a redbone coonhound mix that was the last dog left at Rockdale Animal Control's booth at the end of the day. If no one had taken him he would have been euthanized. We were happy to step up and not only save his life but give the shelter workers a day off of having to euthanize. Rockdale has some fantastic folks working there so please support them in whatever way you can!
