All beagle lovers know that two beagles are better than one. Beagles were bred to work in packs and they get pretty lonely when flying solo.
Most beagle pairs that come to us can be broken up - even siblings who have been together since the womb. As with humans, personality plays a big part of how dogs bond and unbond with each other. It's very hard to place two dogs at the same time in the same family (we do have a discount though!), so luckily things usually work out.
This may not be the case with Raleigh and Lucy. These are two of the most bonded beagles we have ever seen.

We really, REALLY want to place them together. They are both FANTASTIC dogs. If you're thinking about adding a beagle to your family, why not add two?

Things are a bit slow around here so we're going to take some time to enjoy our own dogs and work on getting all our ABR beagles adopted this month.
We'll be taking stock of things in September and we'll have an organizational update to share.

We got an email about a beagle in a shelter. This is not abnormal for us - we get several of these a day. The beagle was pregnant. That too is not abnormal; people just don't spay and neuter their dogs.
